6,4 tourists visit it annually, to get a taste of caipirinha and cachaça, or to dance samba in a way no European could conceive of. At the mention of the country’s name, most people’s minds jump straight to the Carnival of Rio or the favelas, but a lot of less known things are the proof that Brazil is much more than an assortment of colorful feathers. At first blush, it might seem crazy that deep within Brazil is a small place where you get the impression that you are transported, every October, to a beer tent in Munich.
